As we all know, Coronavirus (COVID-19) is dominating news headlines around the globe.
While COVID-19 cases in WA remain low, we are closely monitoring this situation and wanted to keep you informed of the precautions that we are implementing to ensure the safety of our staff, owners, tenants and broader community.
Routine Inspections
We’ll still be conducting routine inspections wherever it is safe to do so.
Tenants, if you are quarantined after returning from overseas, have come into contact with a known case of COVID-19 or are experiencing flu like symptoms, please contact us at your earliest convenience. We’ll re-schedule the inspection until after the quarantine period has been completed OR on proof of a negative COVID-19 result by a medical practitioner.
We will be using hand sanitiser and gloves during our inspections to ensure the highest possible hygiene standards are maintained.
Property Viewings for Prospective Tenants & Buyers
We will endeavour to conduct as many viewings virtually (via Skype or FaceTime etc.) wherever possible. Should a prospective tenant or buyer wish to view the property in person, they will be required to sign a declaration that they have not:
As per the above for Routine Inspections, please notify our office immediately if a viewing needs to be rescheduled so that we can make an appropriate plan with all parties involved.
Maintenance
It’s currently business as usual for all of our preferred contractors. However, should this situation heighten, repairs may need to be limited to urgent, emergency repairs until such time it is safe for a contractor to attend. We’ll keep you informed on any changes to maintenance procedures.
Toilet Paper
In the great toilet paper shortage of 2020, we just wanted to remind you that paper towels, wet wipes etc. cannot be flushed down toilets. They will cause drains to block and will require attention, which is definitely the last thing anyone needs at this time.
Office Visits & Client Meetings
If you need to speak with any member of our team, we ask that you contact our 7-day office line on 9755 8234 if you are in ANY way at risk of exposure to COVID-19 (i.e. have traveled overseas in the last 14 days, have come in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 or are experiencing flu like symptoms).
At this stage, we are still conducting meetings as normal, however we’re keeping a close eye on how things unfold and will keep you informed of any office closures or meeting cancellations that may be necessary to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
If you do visit our office, there are hand sanitiser and hand washing amenities available for your use.
Our Team
All of the Hanson Property Team will be required to isolate should they experience flu like symptoms or come in to contact with a known case of COVID-19. Fortunately, we have amended our plans according to recent travel advice so none of us are jetting off overseas in the short term.
We will be carefully monitoring new information as this comes to light, so please keep an eye on our social channels for important updates to our systems and procedures during this time.
The team at Hanson Property also encourage you to mindful of others in the community when going about your day and usual business. There has never been a more important time to work together as a community to take care of each other.
To help our wider community minimise the impact, the World Health Organisation have some fantastic advice to follow in this link.
Regular updates on Western Australia and COVID-19 can be found here.
Please be assured that your health and safety is of the utmost importance to us and we will be adjusting our systems and procedures as and when needed.
Stay safe, take care and remember to shop local where possible.
